Dental Implant Surgery
To get dental implants, you need to undergo a surgical procedure. At Aesthetic Dental Arts, Dr. Singh can place your implants right here at our practice, so you don’t need to work with another dentist at a different location. After numbing the mouth with a local anesthetic, he will place the implants are precise angles and locations in the jaw. Then, the gums are closed, and protective caps are placed over the ends of the implants to keep them safe as they heal.
Dental Osseointegration & Abutment
Over the next three to six months, your dental implants will fuse to your jawbone in a process called “osseointegration.” This is what makes dental implants so sturdy, strong, and long-lasting. Once the implants have healed, you will need to undergo another minor procedure where small connector pieces, called abutments, are attached to the ends of the implants. Impressions are taken so your custom restoration can be crafted at the dental lab.
Delivery of Dental Implant Restoration(s)
When your restorations are complete, you will need to return to our practice. We will attach your replacement teeth to your dental implants via the abutments. If everything looks and feels great, you will be free to show off your new and improved smile to the world!
